The return of David Harbour’s Santa Claus is being planned as Violent night 2 gets its most promising update yet from director Tommy Wirkola. Violent night is an R-rated Christmas action film that was released in theaters in November 2022 and introduced audiences to a very different interpretation of Kris Kringle. Stranger Things star David Harbor played a violent Santa who finds himself in the situation of having to protect a family from a robbery on Christmas Eve. Violent night was a relative hit for Universal as it received positive reviews and accumulated over $75 million at the box office on a $20 million budget, sparking talk of a sequel.


As part of a new interview with The packagingconfirmed director Tommy Wirkola Violent night 2 is in development. When asked about the status of a sequel, he said, “Yeah. We’ll talk about it and we’ll just make arrangements and sort it all out.”
