Robin Lord Taylor was born on June 4, 1978 in Shueyville, Iowa. He is of white American descent and holds American citizenship. His parents were Robert Harmon Taylor and Mary Susan (née Stamy) Taylor. His older sister, Susan Taylor Chehak, is an acclaimed novelist.
