That Married at First sight Season 16 couples have tied the knot and are ready to develop their relationship with a lovely honeymoon, which means it’s time to reveal where the newlyweds traveled to unwind. While the wedding was going on MAFS are beautiful, but on the small side, Lifetime’s behind-the-scenes crew knows how to wow their cast and viewers at home with extravagant honeymoon locations. From Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to San Juan, Puerto Rico, each season’s chosen tropical destination provides the perfect opportunity not only to have fun, but also to turn back the clock to the romantic setting.

Although some past honeymoons have gone down in flames, like Alyssa Ellman and Chris Collette’s, Married at First sight‘s Dr. Pepper Schwartz’s latest matches are excited to dip their toes in the sand and briefly escape their lives in Nashville. While the five couples are all set to run into some trouble, Kirsten Grimes and Shaquille Dillon, Jasmine Secrest and Airris Williams, Nicole Lilienthal and Christopher Thielk, Gina Micheletti and Clint Webb, and Domynique Kloss and Mackinley Gilbert can at least enjoy a nice time in the Caribbean first. MAFS Season 16 couples traveled to Lucea, Jamaica

Although a few MAFS season 16 weddings were more awkward than romantic, like Kirsten and Shaquill’s, the group was thrilled when they were gifted care packages with information about their honeymoon destination attached. While Clint’s and his Gina, a MAFS season 16 couple, thought they were set for the bahamas, the MAFS season 16 honeymoons took place in Lucea, Jamaica. Established in the 18th century, the seaside town is one of Jamaica’s most popular tourist destinations and has a population of around 6,000.

When MAFS season 16 cast landed in jamaica they were taken to live at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa, an exclusive honeymoon destination located right on the beach. The opulent resort, which offers all-inclusive packages at quite affordable costs, has four large pools, several well-stocked bars, an adults-only spa and wellness center, and even a water park for kids. The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton not only hosts nightly games and events, but even an exclusive nightclub. Of course MAFS season 16 newlyweds looking to explore Jamaica’s natural environment also have a wealth of outdoor activities to choose from, such as ziplining, horseback riding and cliff diving.

Though MAFS season 16 frontrunners Nicole and Chris are expected to do well in Jamaica, the same cannot be said for the other four couples. Kirsten and Shaquille were forced into the outing late after Shaquille had to attend a job conference in Mississippi, while a preview of next week’s episode showed Gina and Clint locked in a tense discussion about Gina’s lack of physical attraction. Between Kirsten and Gina’s issues with their husbands and rumors of Domynique and Mackinley’s marriage not making it to decision day, time will tell if MAFS honeymoons will be dominated by romance or drama.
