Early in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom players are shown how to use Link’s Ultrahand ability. This allows players to combine resources and craft new items, which are often necessary to progress and explore. Autobuild is a new upgrade to this and means players can quickly rebuild items they’ve already made.

How to unlock Autobuild

To unlock the Autobuild, players must venture to the Great Abandoned Central Mine. This is done during a main mission for Josha, ‘Camera Work in the Depths’, where players follow a path of large statues underground, but if players know the location, they can go there before this when they have the glide suit in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.

Although it does not show up on the depth chart until it has been discovered, the large abandoned mine can be found directly beneath the ancient temple of time.

There are four chasms nearby that provide entrances to the depths into which players must slide and all provide short paths to the Great Plateau where the mine is located. Players must have lights that can help find the abandoned mine in the dark, which is almost impossible without it. When players are in the depths and heading towards the mine, they must look for a large structure that is more lit than anything else around it.

Once players have found the large abandoned mine, there will be two researchers standing in front of an altar highlighted in green. Players must interact with this and a construct will awaken. A cutscene starts where players learn the Autobuild ability before a quick tutorial shows how it works on a nearby object.

Players should be aware that after completing the Autobuild tutorial, they will automatically be thrown into a boss fight, so it’s best to save the game beforehand. Once unlocked, Autobuild is very easy for players to use. Players simply choose which item to rebuild from a list of previously constructed items, and as long as the necessary resources are available, it will be built automatically.

Bringing items together is important to build useful items to help Link on his journey Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom and Autobuild should be acquired as early as possible. Players will constantly build a variety of objects, and Autobuild makes it much faster and is one of the most useful abilities in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.
